Brokerages positive on Apollo Hospitals despite subdued Q3

Apollo Hospitals Enterprise has received encouragement from several brokerages despite reporting muted earnings for the quarter ended in December because the management commentary points to the possibility of a turnaround for the massive healthcare organisation.

Lower margins across businesses and increased spending for Apollo 24/7 were blamed for the weak Q3 earnings. Although a seasonal downturn had an impact on the company’s core healthcare business, its pharmacy vertical was still able to record year-over-year growth.
