Top 5 stocks of the day: Titan Company, Maruti Suzuki, Larsen, UltraTech Cement and ICICI Bank are the top gainers in Nifty. Market records biggest single-day fall in two months dragged by sell-off in HDFC twins. The Sensex was down 694.96 points or 1.13 percent at 61,054.29, and the Nifty was down 186.80 points or 1.02 percent at 18,069 points. About 1,499 shares advanced, 2,015 declined, and 127 were unchanged.

Gujarat Fluoro Q4 results

The fourth quarter of FY23 saw a 51.9 percent year-over-year increase in Gujarat Flurochemicals' net profit to Rs 331.90 crore. The same quarter a year ago, the net profit was Rs 219 crore.

The topline increased by 37 percent year over year to Rs 1,471.4 crore in Q4 from Rs 1,073.8 crore in the prior year, which helped to drive the increase in bottom line. Additionally, operating margin increased from 31 percent in the same quarter last year to 36 percent in January-March.

Top 5 stocks of the day: Federal Bank Q4 earnings

In comparison to the same quarter last year, Federal Bank's Q4 net profit increased by 67 percent to Rs 902.60 crore from Rs 540.5 crore. When compared to the previous year, net interest income increased by 25.2% YoY to Rs 1,909.3 crore from Rs 1,525.2 crore.

Additionally, provisions decreased to Rs 116.60 crore from Rs 198.70 crore in the preceding quarter. Slippages slightly increased from the previous quarter to Rs 454 crore in Q4 from Rs 412 crore.

Gross non-performing assets (NPA) decreased from 2.43 percent to 2.36 percent during the course of the quarter. Net NPA decreased to 0.69 percent from 0.73 percent in the previous quarter.
