Top 5 Stocks Of The Day: The Nifty sees top gains for ONGC, Maruti Suzuki, Hindalco Industries, Nestle India and Bharti Airtel. While the losers include Shriram Finance, Wipro, Bajaj Finance, ICICI Bank and Bajaj Finserv. The all sectoral indices ended in the red, with the exception of oil, metal and gas. The BSE Smallcap and Midcap indices are both down by 1.5%.

Sensex and NSE Nifty50

The Nifty was down nearly 246.90 points at 22,272.50 at the closing, while the Sensex was down by 845.12 points and declined at approximately 73,399.78. A 2636 shares fell and over 761 shares rose, whereas102 shares remained unchanged. On April 15, Indian benchmark indices finished lower for the second straight day, with Nifty closing below 22,300.

If it is Compared to January 2024, when it increased by 3.8%, then it can be stated that the industrial production grew by 5.7% in February 2024.
