Twitter

Twitter: Users who subscribe to the Twitter Blue service will automatically receive the coveted blue tick as part of the service’s redesign without going through a laborious verification process. Additional benefits provided by Twitter Blue include the ability to modify tweets and bookmark folders. Twitter Blue costs Rs 900 per month on iOS and Android in India and Rs 650 per month on the Web client. Twitter provides a discounted annual plan for Rs 6,500, or roughly Rs 566 per month.

Non-paying users will lose their previously verified blue ticks

While this makes it apparent that non-paying users will lose their previously verified blue ticks on April 20, those who are familiar with deep Musk lore will be able to identify a specific jest in his tweet. For those who don’t know, April 20th is recognised as World Weed Day. According to Steven Hager, the former editor of High Times, a news outlet devoted to marijuana, teens in California, US, had a ritual of smoking marijuana every day at 4:20 p.m. In the end, April 20th, often known as “4/20,” has come to be widely recognised as a day to honour marijuana and the marijuana-using lifestyle.

Musk famously smoked some on ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’

Musk is no stranger to marijuana, in fact, he famously smoked some on “The Joe Rogan Experience,” a well-known podcast, back in 2018. Musk, who is known for his online trolling, said in an SEC filing from April of last year that he intended to purchase Twitter shares for $54.20 each. Have you seen the price’s not-so-subtle allusion to “4/20”? Additionally, he tweeted about selling shares of his electric vehicle (EV) business Tesla for $420 each.
