Twitter CEO Elon Musk said that the United States Government had paid millions of dollars to restrict material from the public on social media, including Twitter, when retweeting "Part 7" of the Twitter files.

He added that Twitter would reject government incentives and would be compelled to censor social media information.
Musk has taken on the challenge of creating a new sort of Twitter that would be a votary of new kinds of material, differentiating it from the previous administrations at Twitter and giving the site a fresh start.

His survey follows the most recent debate about a rule forbidding users from linking to particular rival social networking platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and Mastadon.
The new Twitter verification system's colours will be shown on the website.
