Weather Update: According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), there is a good chance that a severe heatwave will start in East India and spread to other parts of the region. This includes West Bengal, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Bihar, East Uttar Pradesh, West Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand. However rains along with thundershowers are expected in certain areas of Delhi and Ranchi. The most recent IMD weather prediction for Delhi states that on Wednesday there will be strong surface winds, mostly clear skies, and some mild showers. A cyclonic disturbance that is expected to provide isolated to scattered mild to moderate rainfall is what caused the rainfall in Delhi.

IMD forecasts that Arunachal Pradesh will likely have isolated areas of significant rainfall. Assam, Tripura, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala are anticipated to experience hot weather. In certain areas of West Bengal and Odisha, heat wave conditions are very likely to prevail. In other areas of Uttar Pradesh( including Lucknow), West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, , Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, there is a possibility of heat wave conditions.
