Chinese soldiers tried to make intrusion in Arunachal Pradesh last week. The brave soldiers of India, thwarting the nefarious efforts of China, drove them away. The army is not in a mood to give importance to the matter. Army sources said that in this incident, patrol teams of both the countries collided with each other.

According to news agency PTI-language, about 100 soldiers of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China crossed the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the Barahoti sector of Uttarakhand on August 30. People with knowledge of the incident had told that the Chinese soldiers returned from the area after spending a few hours.

External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said yesterday that India has made it clear that China’s unilateral and provocative behavior has seriously disturbed the peace along the LAC in eastern Ladakh. India has expressed hope that China will work towards early resolution of the remaining issues along the LAC in eastern Ladakh by fully adhering to bilateral agreements and protocols.

The border standoff started in May last year after a violent clash between India and China in eastern Ladakh. After this, troops and a large amount of weapons were deployed on the border from both sides. Several talks have also taken place at the diplomatic and military level between the two countries to resolve the deadlock. The Indian and Chinese armies have retreated from some places, but in some places the standoff is still intact.
