Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh are set to inaugurate the Naval Shaurya Vatika, the second phase of the Naval Shaurya Museum, in Lucknow.
Built at a cost of approximately ₹19 crore over more than two acres, the project is dedicated to the courage, sacrifice, and technological excellence of the Indian Navy.

The Naval Shaurya Vatika aims to showcase the Indian Navy’s operational history and achievements through displays of naval equipment, weapon systems, and historical artifacts.
The initiative is intended to promote patriotism, military awareness, and national pride among visitors, particularly young people.
Major Attractions at the Museum
Among the exhibits are equipment and components from the warship INS Gomati, including:
- Naval guns and missile launch systems
- Radar and communication equipment
- Anti-ship missile containers
- Torpedo launchers
- Surface-to-air missile systems
- Naval propulsion and engineering components
The facility will also feature a naval band performance area, food court, souvenir facilities, sound systems, and visitor amenities.
Strengthening Lucknow’s Tourism Profile
Officials said the museum will serve as both an educational and tourism destination, adding a new attraction to Lucknow while highlighting India’s maritime heritage and defence capabilities.
The project reflects the Uttar Pradesh government’s efforts to combine cultural, educational, and patriotic initiatives with tourism development.
Event Scheduled for May 30
The inauguration ceremony is scheduled to take place near Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, with senior military officers, public representatives, and government officials expected to attend the event.
