Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad Resigns after being named head committee

Ghulam Nabi Azad has resigned from the post of President of Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Campaign Committee, giving a big blow to the Congress party.

On Tuesday, the Congress had entrusted this responsibility to Ghulam Nabi Azad. But after two hours, he resigned from this post. However, Ghulam Nabi Azad has not disclosed the reason for resigning. He has been angry with the party for a long time.

What did the Congress say after the resignation?

The Congress says that Azad has refused to take over as the chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Campaign Committee due to ill health. However, sources have something else to say. It is being told that he is angry due to the party not following the recommendations of Ghulam Nabi.

Azad is also part of G23 group

Ghulam Nabi Azad ji is also part of the G23 group which is demanding many major changes in the party and is angry with the Congress high command.

The Congress on Tuesday appointed Vikar Rasool Wani, considered close to Ghulam Nabi Azad, as the new president of its Jammu and Kashmir unit. While senior leader Azad, 73, was given the command of the election campaign committee of Jammu and Kashmir. But Azad refused to take over the post.
