In the last 24 hours, 1,086 new cases of corona have been reported in the country. This number is 36.6 percent more than yesterday. At the same time, 71 people have died of corona in the last 24 hours. Under the nationwide vaccination campaign, 185.04 crore vaccine doses have been given so far. Currently active cases in India are 11,871. The recovery rate is currently 98.76%. In the last 24 hours, 1,198 people have been cured. With this, the number of people who have been cured has increased to 4,24,97,567. Daily positivity rate is 0.23%. The buy positivity rate is 0.22%. 79.20 crore total corona testing has been done so far. In the last 24 hours, 4,81,374 corona testing has been done.

The nationwide vaccination campaign was started on January 16 last year, in which health workers were vaccinated in the first phase. The vaccination of frontline personnel started from February 2 last year. All eligible beneficiaries above 18 years of age in Mumbai have been fully immunized against COVID-19. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said that it gave the second dose to 92,42,888 beneficiaries on Tuesday against the original target of 92,36,500. BMC’s acting health officer Mangala Gomare confirmed that Mumbai has achieved the target of full immunization, more than 14 months after the nationwide coronavirus vaccination campaign.

Not a single case of corona virus infection was reported in Puducherry for the sixth consecutive day on Tuesday. Not a single new infected was found in the four regions of the Union Territory – Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam. Health department director G Sriramulu said in a press release that 246 samples were tested by the health department, in which no new cases of infection were reported. He said that no one died due to the epidemic in the last one day. So far 1,962 patients have died due to Covid-19 in Puducherry and a total of 1,65,774 cases of infection have been reported.
