Donald Trump: Foreign affairs expert Fareed Zakaria said Indian Prime Minister Donald Trump can get US President to agree on the trade deal.
Speaking to Editor-In-Chief Rahul Kanwal, Zakaria said Modi has the aura and ability to convince Trump that they both are politicians and have elections to face. Zakaria added all that matters to Donald Trump is a deal’s announcement.
The foreign affairs expert added India can announce we will invest $200 billion in the United States. Zakaria said Trump wouldn’t care about the nitty gritty of the deal. Zakaria praised PM Modi on how he has handled Trump and the US deal by now. The foreign affairs expert said Modi has been thoughtful of the Indian farmers and has not conceded anything suggesting the power of today’s India.
On December 11, Modi last spoke to Trump that have given wing to speculations about the much-awaited US-India deal being imminent.
The deal’s progress has been disappointing to say the least given that the United States imposed a massive 50 percent tariff on India over its continued purchase of Russian oil.
Donald Trump Miffed With Growing India-Russia Relations
