Powertrain details

The Hypermotard 698 Mono bike’s most notable attribute is without a doubt its engine, the Superquadro Mono. It is said that this single-cylinder engine has the highest power in its class. This 659 cc liquid-cooled engine is the motor of the motorcycle, producing a maximum power of 76.43 bhp at 9,750 rpm and a peak torque of 62.76 Nm at 8000 rpm.

In the Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT, engine output has decreased to 70.7 PS and 62 Nm (0.3 PS and 0.3 Nm) due to the 645cc DOHC 90-degree V-Twin motor’s compliance with BS6 emission standards.

Features onboard

For the Hypermotard 698 Mono, Ducati is offering four different electrical assistance options: Ducati Engine Brake Control, Ducati Power Launch, Ducati Wheelie Control, and Ducati Traction Control. Three different riding modes—Sport, Road, Urban, and Wet—, as well as three power modes—Low, Mid, and High—, are also available on the motorcycle.

In the Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT, dual-channel ABS and three levels of switchable traction control are standard on electronic rider aids. The bike’s analogue digital instrument console allows the rider to customise the settings.

Price in India

Regarding the Hypermotard 698 Mono’s possible release on the Indian market, Ducati has not yet confirmed anything.

The Suzuki V-Strom 650XT is priced ex-showroom at Rs. 8.94 lakh. The Suzuki V-Strom 650XT is available solely in the STD version.
