Former Pak PM Imran Khan escapes plane crash

Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan narrowly escaped on Saturday when his plane escaped from a major accident. Imran’s plane was en route from Chaklala to Gunjrawala when a technical snag occurred in it. Imran was going to Gunjrawala by special plane to address an election rally. There was a technical problem after take off. The flight captain contacted the control tower and made a safe landing of the plane. After this Imran reached his Gunjrawala rally by road.

No information has been received so far about what happened in the plane of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief. Pakistan’s newspaper Express Tribune has been told that PTI leader Azhar Mashwani said that Imran Khan had returned to Islamabad soon after takeoff. He told that Imran had taken this decision due to bad weather.

This clarification was given by Mashwani on Twitter at a time when Pakistani media reports claimed that Imran survived a major plane crash. According to the Pakistani media, the plane was going towards Gunjrawala in Punjab and was half way there when it had to land. If Ashwani is to be believed, then the reports of any technical fault are completely false.

On the other hand, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif as a PM seems to be failing to make an impact among the people. According to the report of The News, while former Prime Minister Imran Khan is openly criticizing Sharif, many in the ruling coalition and related sectors are also wondering why Shahbaz is not performing well. The service delivery of government departments under the jurisdiction of the Federal Capital Territory is as disappointing as ever.

According to The News report, during his tenure as the Chief Minister of Pakistan’s Punjab, Shahbaz had a strong hold on the bureaucracy, but things are not under his control at the Centre. According to one of Shahbaz’s close aides, the prime minister’s main focus has been on the economy, for which no specific steps have been taken so far. The surprising thing for many people is that even after the IMF deal, the economy is getting worse instead of getting better.
