Fourth Monkeypox Case Detected In Delhi, With No Foreign Travel History

Monkeypox has knocked in the capital of the country, Delhi. A 31-year-old man has been found infected with monkeypox. The patient has been admitted to LNJP Hospital in Delhi. Know that the person found infected with monkeypox has returned from Himachal Pradesh. He does not have any foreign travel history. Significantly, so far 4 cases of monkeypox have been found in India. 1 case of monkeypox has been found in Delhi and 3 cases in Kerala. Apart from this, a Global Health Emergency has been declared regarding monkeypox. The World Health Organization on Saturday declared a global health emergency over monkeypox.

Monkeypox has knocked in 75 countries

Significantly, monkeypox has reached 75 countries around the world. 16 thousand cases of monkeypox have been found so far. Monkeypox has increased the problems of people in Europe. Europe alone accounts for 80 percent of worldwide monkeypox cases. World Health Organization director Dr Tadroid Abraham has declared monkeypox as a global emergency in view of the rapidly increasing cases.

Monkeypox spread to Europe-North America

The disease of monkeypox is most spread in Europe and North America. So far 2 thousand 500 cases of monkeypox have been reported in 44 states of North America. Monkeypox had never spread in both these places before. There are 4 cases of monkeypox in India and all are infected youth.

Reason behind declaring global health emergency

Know that the World Health Organization has given the biggest reason behind declaring monkeypox as a global health emergency, that now the risk of spreading monkeypox has increased rapidly. There is a need to fight the monkeypox together at the international level. Earlier in January 2020, the World Health Organization had declared the corona virus a global health emergency.
