Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath chaired a high-level meeting in Lucknow to review the action plans of the Uttar Pradesh State Cancer Task Force and the Uttar Pradesh Trauma and Emergency Network (UPTEN) with officials from the Medical and Health Department, Medical Education Department, and healthcare experts.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister directed officials to develop cancer treatment facilities in every district in a phased manner and establish modern cancer centres in each division of the state to improve access to specialised healthcare services.

Yogi Adityanath emphasised the need to strengthen cancer prevention measures by focusing on timely screening, early diagnosis, and quality treatment. He said expanding healthcare infrastructure and ensuring early detection would help reduce the burden of the disease and improve patient outcomes.
The Chief Minister also stressed the importance of coordinated efforts among government departments, medical institutions, and healthcare professionals to build a robust cancer care network across Uttar Pradesh. He said advanced medical infrastructure and trained healthcare personnel are essential for delivering timely and effective treatment.
The review meeting also assessed the progress of the Uttar Pradesh Trauma and Emergency Network (UPTEN), with a focus on improving emergency medical response and strengthening trauma care services across the state. The government said these initiatives are aimed at enhancing access to quality healthcare and ensuring better medical services for people across Uttar Pradesh.
