Health Tips – Yoga and Gym are two of the best ways to unwind. Both have a positive effect on one’s mind and body. Be it Yoga or Gym, you can choose any one or both to stay in shape. Practicing Yoga and Gym with a proper technique and manner, can have innumerable benefits with a similar outcome which is a healthier and fit body. The main objective here is fitness and health of our body which is very important for a human being to attain a fulfilling life.

Performing yoga is always meant to be very beneficial for our body, yoga has physical as well as mental benefits which helps our body to remain healthy. The physical benefits of performing yoga are – yoga helps our body to increase flexibility, body strength, respiration and energy. Yoga also helps our body to maintain a balanced metabolism and also helps in weight reduction. Yoga has different types of ‘Asanas’ and ‘Mudras’ which affects different portions of our body, some asanas for maintaining a healthy body are – Trikonasana, Shavasan, Bhajungasan and many more, there are almost 84 asanas in yoga which we can perform to attain a healthy body and mind. Performing Yoga also helps us mentally, some of the mental benefits of yoga are – Regular yoga practice creates a calmness and mental clarity in our mind, performing yoga also helps us to release our stress and helps our mind to be relaxed and sharpens our concentration.

Practicing gym also has many health benefits and most of them are physical benefits which helps our body to remain in a good physical shape and attain a fit and healthy body. Performing gym is mostly done to gain muscles on our body which helps our body to gain more strength. Most of the people go to the gym for weight reduction because doing exercise lead to burning calories and decrease in weight. Exercising in gym decreases the chances of stroke, 2 types of diabetes and also helps to maintain blood pressure. Going to gym regularly can also help us attain a better sleep and also decreases the chances of disease because it increases our immunity level. Our bone density also gets stronger when we perform gym regularly.

So, what should you do?

You can either go to the gym, do yoga or try both these beneficial methods to keep your mind and body fit. However, if you are short on time, you can pick up any one to stay in shape.
