How Does Heart Attack Happen When Cholesterol Level Is Normal?
If bad cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, Triglyceride level, HDL ratio are high, you are have high chances of getting heart attack. Apart from these, there are two predictors that you can test in your blood that tell about your heart attack risk. And they are considered better predictors.
First is Apo B levels which gives an idea about the number atherogenic particles which remain stuck on the walls of blood vessels, which increase the chances of heart attack. This is related to metabolic function of the body. Second is Serum Lipoprotein (a) levels, which indicates genetic risk. So, these two predictors play very important role in predicting heart attack.
