Negative RT-PCR report necessary for all international travelers coming to India

The cases of corona infection are gradually decreasing in the country. However, the government is still fully alert about the third wave of corona virus. The Health Ministry has said that a negative RT-PCR test report will be required for all international travelers coming to India. The ministry issued a guideline in this regard on Wednesday. According to this, the test report should be from 72 hours before the journey. All passengers will also have to submit a declaration form to confirm the report.

Along with the guideline, the government released a list of countries from where travelers coming from will have to follow the necessary rules. The list includes Britain, South Africa, Brazil, Bangladesh, Botswana, China, Mauritius, New Zealand and Zimbabwe. These countries have been placed in the list of countries at risk.

According to the guideline, there is no need for home or institutional quarantine for passengers who have received both doses of the vaccine. At the same time, travelers coming from a country with which India has made arrangements for mutual approval of the WHO approved vaccine, will also be exempted from quarantine and testing. Such passengers will only have to submit the negative report of RT-PCR.

If people who have partially taken a dose of the vaccine come to India, then they will have to get corona tested at the airport itself. After this they will be allowed to go out of the airport, but they will remain in home quarantine for seven days and will get tested again on the eighth day. If the report comes negative, then you will have to monitor your self for the next seven days.

So far more than 102.4 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses have been provided to the States and Union Territories through the Government of India and under the Procurement category by the States. The Union Health Ministry gave this information on Wednesday. The ministry said that more than 10.78 crore (10,78,72,110) vaccines are still available with the states. The Central Government is committed to accelerate the pace of vaccination and expand its coverage across the country.

To intensify the vaccination campaign, more vaccines have been made available to the states so that they can better plan and streamline the vaccine supply chain, it said. The ministry said that as part of the nationwide vaccination campaign against the disease, the Center is providing free vaccines to the states.
