India sets a new benchmark, more than 1 million vaccination in 6 days

The central government has stopped fresh registration of health workers and frontline employees for corona vaccination. Instructions have been issued in this regard to the states and union territories on Saturday. In this, the government argued that some ineligible beneficiaries are registering in this category in violation of the rules.

The Center on Saturday wrote to all states and union territories not to allow any new registration of Health Services (HCW) and Frontline Workers (FLW) with immediate effect.

The letter, written by Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan to the state governments, states that various inputs have been received from various sources that in immunization centers, some unqualified beneficiaries are being registered as healthcare and frontline workers and this is in full compliance with the laid down guidelines.

The letter said that in the last few days, the database of healthcare workers has increased by 24 per cent. After this it has been decided that no new registration will be allowed in the categories of Healthcare Worker and Frontline Worker.
