In order to eliminate the corona virus in the country, vaccines will also be given to people above 45 years of age. The number of people above 45 years of age in the country is 34 crores. Till now only Corona Warriors, Frontline Workers, Elderly and people above the age of 45 suffering from serious diseases were getting vaccinated, but in view of the increasing case of Corona, now decided to give vaccine to those above 45 years.

For the vaccination, an advanced appointment can be made through http://cowin.gov.in and on-site registration can also be done for vaccination. So far, 6.30 crore corona vaccine doses have been given in India. According to the Union Health Ministry, 6 crore 30 lakh 54 thousand 353 vaccine doses have been given till 7 am on Wednesday. A total of 19 lakh 40 thousand 999 vaccine doses were given on 74 days i.e. 30 March of the vaccination campaign, out of which 17 lakh 77 thousand 637 people were given the first dose and one lakh 63 thousand 632 people were given the second dose of vaccine.

According to the Ministry of Health, the meeting specifically reviewed the areas with less vaccination. All such areas were marked and strict steps were taken to ensure vaccination of all eligible people. It was clearly stated in the meeting that vaccination committees constituted at the state level would have to be reviewed at the district and rural levels every day. Private centers will be reviewed separately to better prevent vaccination transparency, storage and greater wastage of doses. Apart from this, duplicate registration data will also be collected on the Cowin platform.

In fact, the Ministry of Health believes that due to recurring cases of corona virus, it is extremely important to increase vaccination so that the herd can move towards immunity. Therefore, the government is going to start the third phase of vaccination at a difference of just one month. The central government has directed the state governments to give vaccine doses to all the people above the age of 45 years in the most affected districts within the next two weeks.
