Omicron cases increased to 213 in the country, PM Modi review meeting tomorrow

There have been a total of 213 cases of Omicron, a new variant of the rapidly spreading infection of Covid-19. Delhi has the maximum number of 57 cases among them. More than half the infection cases have been registered in Delhi and Maharashtra. India has also seen an increase of 18% in coronavirus infections today. Now the total number of Covid infected in the country has increased to 3.47 crore. In view of the increasing infection, Prime Minister Narendra Modi can hold a review meeting tomorrow.

Apart from 57 Omicron cases in Delhi, 54 have been reported in Maharashtra, 24 in Telangana, 19 in Karnataka, 18 in Rajasthan, 15 in Kerala, 14 in Gujarat, three in Jammu and Kashmir. Apart from these, two cases each have been reported in Odisha and Uttar Pradesh, one each in Andhra Pradesh, Chandigarh, Ladakh, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal.


A total of 90 patients infected with Omicron have also become healthy across the country. That is, 123 cases are active now.

A total of 6,317 new cases of corona virus have been reported in India in the last 24 hours. As of yesterday, this number is 18.6 percent higher. So far 138.96 crore vaccine doses have been given under the nationwide vaccination campaign. At present, the active cases in the country are 78,190. The recovery rate in India is currently 98.40%. In the last 24 hours, 6,906 people have been cured. Now the total number of cured people has increased to 3,42,01,966. At the same time, 318 people have died in the last 24 hours.
