Rising Cases of H1N1 and Swine Flu in India Raise Concerns Amid COVID-19 Pandemic

H1N1: Although the H3N2 influenza A subtype virus predominates in India, incidences of the H1N1 or swine flu are fast rising throughout the nation, according to data released by the Union Health Ministry on Tuesday (March 14). The results show that 955 H1N1 illnesses in all had been documented up until February. Tamil Nadu (545), Maharashtra (170), Gujarat (74), Kerala (72), and Punjab recorded the most cases (28).
