The Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry reported on Saturday that 7,688 beneficiaries of the first dose of Corona vaccine received their second shot, which is just 4 percent of the beneficiaries receiving the vaccine on the day of the nationwide Covid launch. The vaccination campaign was launched in the country on 16 January, in which 1,91,181 health workers were vaccinated.
Meanwhile, 84,807 people have received the Covid vaccine in the immunization campaign conducted in 34 states and union territories on Saturday. The highest participation was seen in Jammu and Kashmir (18,093), followed by West Bengal (11,427), Gujrat (9,380), Jharkhand (8,116) and Andhra Pradesh (6,309).
The Union Health Ministry said on Friday that till the 28th day of the nationwide vaccination campaign, 77.66 lakh health and advance personnel have been vaccinated. The ministry said that till 6 pm on Friday, 77,66,319 people have been given the vaccine.
These include 58,65,813 health workers (58.9 percent) and 19,00,506 personnel (21.2 percent) posted on the front.
