The Jharkhand government has reiterated its support for initiatives aimed at the development and upliftment of the tribal community. In a statement shared by the Office of the Chief Minister, Jharkhand, Chief Minister Hemant Soren emphasised the importance of ensuring that tribal society gets opportunities to progress while preserving its close relationship with nature and its cultural identity.

Soren said the question of how tribal communities, which have traditionally lived in harmony with nature, can move forward deserves everyone’s attention.
