Bollywood actor Huma Qureshi’s family is mourning a devastating loss after her cousin, Asif Qureshi, was allegedly murdered on Thursday night in Delhi’s Nizamuddin area. What began as a simple parking disagreement spiralled into a fatal confrontation that has left the family in shock.

According to police, two men have been arrested in connection with the killing, and the weapon used in the attack has been recovered. The incident reportedly unfolded around 10 pm when Asif asked the men to move their two-wheeler, which was parked in front of the entrance to his home. The conversation quickly escalated into a heated exchange. The men left but allegedly returned armed with sharp weapons and attacked him.

Wife Of Asif Qureshi Reveals He Was Stabbed To Death

Asif Qureshi, 42, ran a chicken business in Delhi and is survived by his two wives. One of them, Shaheen, revealed that parking disputes with neighbours were not new. She said, “At around 9:30–10 pm, a neighbour parked a scooter right outside our house… My husband, Asif, requested him to move the vehicle away. The man abused Asif and threatened to come back.”

She recalled the harrowing moments of the assault and added, “Within minutes, the man, along with his brother, came and stabbed Asif with a sharp weapon. I called Javed, my brother-in-law, but by the time he reached, Asif had lost a lot of blood and died.” The family rushed him to the National Heart Institute in East of Kailash, but doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Huma Qureshi’s father and Asif’s uncle, Saleem Qureshi, shared his grief over the loss. He said, “Two men parked a scooter in front of the house. Asif asked them to move it aside and not block the entrance. This led to a verbal altercation that turned physical. They were two, together they killed my nephew,” he said.

Police have sent Asif’s body for a post-mortem and registered a case. The investigation is ongoing, with officers assuring that justice will be pursued without delay.
