Hyundai Alcazar Turbo launched, arrives at showrooms, offers six airbags and 18kmpl of mileage, all you need to know

Hyundai Alcazar Turbo: Hyundai has introduced the Alcazar SUV with a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, pricing it from Rs 16.74 lakh for the base 7-seat Prestige manual variant to Rs 20.25 lakh for the top-spec Alcazar Signature (O) six-seat automatic. The cars have now started to reach showrooms.

Hyundai Alcazar Turbo specifications

The SUV’s previous 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine has been replaced with a new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine. This engine complies with BS6 Phase 2 and is capable of using an E20 fuel mixture. It has a maximum torque output of 253Nm and 158bhp. Six-speed manual and seven-speed dual-clutch transmissions are available as options.

Features

Hyundai claims that the Alcazar 1.5 turbo-petrol achieves a claimed 18 kpl with the DCT and 17.5 kmpl with the manual gearbox option. It also has integrated start-stop technology. In terms of safety, the Alcazar now comes equipped with six airbags, including side and curtain airbags, as standard across all models. In terms of appearance, the Alcazar now has a new-looking grille and new puddle lamps in higher models.

Price in India

While the diesel Alcazar versions’ costs start at Rs. 17.73 lakh and go all the way up to Rs. 21.13 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom), the petrol variants’ prices range from Rs. 16.74 lakh to Rs. 20.25 lakh.
