Hyundai Creta EV enters the testing phase; Know the launch timeline, features and more

Hyundai Creta EV: Hyundai is heading towards launching Creta EV soon in India. In the mid-size SUV segment, Hyundai Creta has its own fan base in the market. People have been waiting for so long for the EV variant of the Hyundai Creta. But the wait seems to be over as Hyundai Creta Ev has been recently seen testing on Indian roads.

From the very introduction of the Hyundai Creta in the Indian market, it enjoys its honest fan base among mid-size SUV seekers. Creta lovers were demanding the EV variant of the Hyundai Creta in India. So, the company decided to launch its EV variant in the Indian automobile market. The company seems to launch the EV soon in 2025.

Presently, two EV SUVs are sold in the Indian market. One of which is ionic 5 and another one is Kona electric. People are not showing so much interest in buying Kona electric while the Ionic 5 is spreading its reach in the premium EV SUV segment. So, the launch of the Hyundai Creta EV can be a more budget-friendly option available among EV buyers.

Stiff competition with Mahindra’s Upcoming EV

Creta EV is based on the localized E-GMP platform. This platform comes in the mid-size SUV segment which might have stiff competition with BYD Atto 3, MG ZS EV, and the upcoming Mahindra SUV EV. If we talk about the price range of the Hyundai Creta EV, it can reach up to 20 lakhs while the final price will be announced soon by the company itself.

Range can reach upto 500 Km

The company has not released any information in the public domain about the battery, power and range of the Creta EV. But according to the media reports, the EV can have a battery of 70-80 KW which will have a massive power of 136 bhp, peak torque of 395 nm, and a range of more than 500 km on one charge. Creta EV can be a game changer in speed and power amongst EVs. The fast charging feature has its own prominence in EVs. In this case, Creta EV can also come with fast charging feature.
