Hyundai i20: In September 2023, Hyundai India gave the i20 hatchback a minor facelift. sources now indicate that the manufacturer plans to add a new Sportz (O) option to the hatchback’s inventory shortly. Read on to learn more.
Hyundai i20 to get new Sportz (O) variant
With the same silhouette as the pre-facelift model, the i20 facelift was introduced last year. It was given new bumpers, wheels, headlights, and a revised front fascia, but that was all. Sportz is sometimes considered the most value-for-money i20 trim level.
A wireless charging pad, an electric sunroof, and a padded armrest for the driver-side door pad are the three new features that the new model is anticipated to have.
A cooled glovebox, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, cruise control, automatic climate control, LED tail lamps, and a height-adjustable driver seat will all still be available because it will be based on the Sportz model.
Powertrain details
It’s expected that the current 1.2-litre petrol engine and both manual and automatic gearboxes will be available for the Hyundai i20 Sportz (O) model.
Expected price in India
The automatic Sportz is expected to cost Rs. 9.43 lakh, while the manual Sportz could cost Rs. 8.38 lakh after the price increase in January 2024.
