IMD : A cyclonic circulation is active in the eastern part

The Indian Meteorological Department has forecast that monsoon activities will be active in the South Peninsula from June 7. Along with this, heavy rain is possible at isolated places over Northeast India, Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim in 4 days. Heat wave conditions are persisting over many parts of Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, South Uttar Pradesh, North Madhya Pradesh, eastern parts of Vidarbha, North Rajasthan, Odisha and Chhattisgarh.

According to Skymet Weather, a cyclonic circulation is active in the eastern part of Uttar Pradesh. A trough is extending from this cyclonic circulation to Nagaland across Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Assam. According to the India Meteorological Department, another trough is active from Bihar to North Coastal Andhra Pradesh across Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh. A cyclonic circulation is active over east central and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal at 3.1 to 7.6 km above sea level.

According to Skymet Weather, during the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with light to moderate rain is very likely over Northeast India, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, South Interior Karnataka and Coastal Karnataka. According to the India Meteorological Department, light to moderate rains are possible over Lakshadweep, Kerala, Interior Tamil Nadu, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, parts of Gangetic West Bengal and North Interior Karnataka. While light rain is forecast over eastern parts of Bihar, South Konkan and Goa and Jammu and Kashmir.

Even today, heat wave conditions are possible over many parts of Delhi and at few places over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, South Uttar Pradesh, North Madhya Pradesh, East Vidarbha, North Rajasthan Odisha and Chhattisgarh.

During the last 24 hours, Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh recorded light to moderate rain with isolated heavy rains. Rest of Northeast India, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and parts of Odisha received light to moderate rains. While Gangetic West Bengal, Eastern parts of Jharkhand, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, South Interior Karnataka received light to moderate rain and one or two isolated places over Vidarbha and Jammu and Kashmir.
