IMD Heat Wave Forecast

IMD weather update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted clear skies in the national capital for the next four to five days. Delhi is once again in the grip of heat wave. The mercury touched 47 degree Celsius in some parts of the national capital. There is no respite from the scorching heat for the next several days. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert on Sunday, giving a warning of heat wave at different places in Delhi. In the forecast for the next seven days, it has been said that the sky is likely to be clear with strong winds in Delhi for the next four days. Najafgarh weather station recorded a maximum temperature of 46.2 degree Celsius.

At the same time, Ganganagar in Rajasthan recorded the highest temperature of 47.5 degree Celsius, while Hisar in Haryana recorded 46.8 degree Celsius. The IMD said in its bulletin on Saturday that during the next two-three days, there is a possibility of heat wave in different parts of North-West and Central India. The Met Office said the maximum temperature is likely to rise by two degrees Celsius over most parts of northwest and central India.

The Meteorological Office has issued a yellow alert on Sunday, giving a warning of heat wave at different places in Delhi. For Sunday, the Meteorological Department has forecast partly cloudy sky with heat wave conditions at isolated places and gusty winds reaching 20-30 kmph during the day. The IMD said that the maximum temperature of Delhi is likely to reach 43 degree Celsius.

IMD Heat Wave Forecast

Heat wave conditions will prevail on June 4 and 5 at different places in Rajasthan, Jammu, Himachal Pradesh and Delhi.

Heat wave conditions can prevail in the areas of Vidarbha, Jharkhand, Interior Odisha and Chhattisgarh from June 4 to 6.

Heat wave conditions will prevail in South Uttar Pradesh and North Madhya Pradesh from June 4 to 8.

Rain activities are likely to increase over South Peninsular India from June 7.

Intense rain forecast over Northeast India and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during the next five days.
