India scored 233 runs on Thursday, losing six wickets on the first day of the first cricket test of the night against Australia. Batting first after winning the toss, captain Virat Kohli scored 74 and Cheteshwar Pujara scored 43 runs for India. At the end of the first day's play, Wriddhiman Saha and R Ashwin were playing for 15 runs.

The Indian team started off to play their second day-night test was not a good start. Shaw, who came to open the innings with Mayank Agarwal, was bowled by Mitchell Starc on the second ball of the innings. In front of the disciplined trio of Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood, the struggling Indian batsmen began their foothold.

The score seemed to be gradually progressing towards betterment, but only then did Cummins, the world's No. 1 Test bowler, bowled Mayank to a second blow to India on a total of 32. Mayank faced 40 balls and hit two fours. After this, Captain Kohli came to support Pujara, who is playing the first and last Test of this four-match series. After this, on the occasion of the birth of his first child, he will return home to live with family members.
