Indian Army adds the Toyota Hilux to its fleet

The Toyota Hilux pickup SUV has lately joined the fleet of the Indian Army. Its information has been shared on social media by the Army's Northern Command account. The first batch of Toyota Hilux pickup SUVs was introduced by the Army's Northern Command. This SUV will be utilised as an off-road vehicle for the mountains.

Specifications and features

The Toyota truck's 2.8-litre turbo-diesel engine is coupled to a six-speed manual and an automatic gearbox to produce 204PS/420Nm and 204PS/500Nm, respectively. A 4x4 drivetrain is included.

The Toyota pickup comes equipped with a push-button start/stop, an eight-inch touchscreen, automatic climate control, a powered driver's seat, and cruise control.

There are seven airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), front and rear parking sensors, and a reversing camera for the protection of the occupants.
