Jiah Khan case verdict: Suraj Pancholi reaches court with mother Zarina Wahab, Rabia Khan files written submissions

A special CBI court is likely to pronounce its verdict today in the suicide case of actor Jiah Khan. For those who don’t know, Jiah Khan died by suicide on June 3, 2013. She was found dead at her residence in Mumbai. A special CBI judge AS Sayyad, after hearing the final arguments of both sides last week, reserved his judgment in the case for April 28.

Sooraj Pancholi, son of actors Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab, was in a relationship with Jiah Khan. Rabia Khan, Jiah Khan's mother, has accused Suraj Pancholi of murdering her daughter. The deceased actor had also left a suicide note in which she mentioned Suraj harassed her mentally and physically.

Sooraj Pancholi arrives at the court with mother

On Friday morning, Sooraj Pancholi arrived at the court with his mother Zareena Wahab. The CBI court will pronounce the order in the case at 12:30 pm.

Jiah Khan's mother files written submissions

Jiah Khan's mother Rabia Khan has filed some additional written submissions today, hours before the court pronounces its verdict. "Jiah Khan suicide case | Order kept on hold till 12 pm after judge tells Suraj Pancholi's lawyer that deceased's mother Rabia Khan wants to file some written submissions. Matter to be heard at 12pm again," ANI reported.

"We have spent 10 years exposing the truth based on factual evidence. Now, it is up to the court to draw the right conclusions," Rabia Khan, Jiah Khan's mother said, as per ANI.
