The first booking window for the Kedarnath helicopter service was opened on April 15, covering travel dates from April 22 to June 15. The response from devotees was overwhelming, with more than 33,000 tickets reportedly booked within an hour of the portal going live.
Officials are now preparing to launch the second booking phase, which will allow pilgrims to reserve helicopter seats for travel beyond June 15. The move is expected to benefit thousands of devotees planning to undertake the Kedarnath pilgrimage during the ongoing Char Dham Yatra season.
UCADA Chief Executive Officer Dr. Ashish Chauhan stated that the authority is finalizing arrangements for the next booking cycle and that the exact date for opening reservations will be announced shortly.
