Keeway SR 250: Air-cooled engine, sporty look and reasonably priced bike to debut in January 2023, details here

Keeway SR 250: At the 2023 Auto Expo, which will be held at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida from January 13 to 18, a new motorcycle from Keeway will be shown for the first time in India. The Hungarian company will bring in its quarter-litre SR 250, which is likely to compete with recently released motorcycles like the Royal Enfield Hunter 350, the Kawasaki W 175, and the TVS Ronin 225.

The Keeway SR 250 will look a lot like the SR 125

In recent years, there has been a lot of activity in the retro-modern motorcycle market, and new brands have also entered, making it more interesting. As for Keeway, the SR 250 will take some parts from the smaller SR 125, which costs Rs. 1.20. (ex-showroom). It will be interesting to see how they price it since that will determine how much they sell. The Keeway SR 250 will look a lot like the SR 125, and it will have a lot of old-school features that will be a big draw. It has spoked wheels in the front and back, a slim fuel tank, dual-purpose block pattern tyres, an upright handlebar position, a circular headlamp, a single-piece seat, a chopped-out front fender, a side-mounted exhaust system, and more.

The front telescopic forks and rear dual shock absorbers will handle the suspension

For performance, an air-cooled single-cylinder 250 cc engine will be used, along with a five-speed transmission. The front and back disc brakes will be in charge of stopping the Keeway SR 250, while the front telescopic forks and rear dual shock absorbers will handle the suspension.

The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 starts at Rs. 1.5 lakh (ex-showroom) and comes in three different styles: Retro, Metro, and Rebel. The base model of the TVS Ronin costs around Rs. 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom), and the most expensive model, with dual-channel ABS and a Dawn Orange colour scheme, costs Rs. 1.71 lakhs (ex-showroom). The starting price of the Kawasaki W175 is also about Rs. 1.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Expect the price of the new Keeway SR 250 to be about the same or a little bit higher.
