Kia Carens: 7900 units sold in January 2023, all you should know about this amazing MPV

Kia Carens: In February 2022, Kia Carens was introduced in India, and the South Korean automaker has seen strong sales growth thanks to the MPV. With the delivery of 28,634 units in January, the company had its best-ever sales year, which was a promising start for 2023. Carens played a significant part in this sale, which represents a growth of 48% from the previous year. In India, Kia Carens sold 7,900 units, exceeding its previous record of 7,895 units set in June 2022, to post its best-ever monthly sales. Additionally, since the model's debut in India last year, there have been a total of 70,656 units sold there.

When the figures are analysed, it becomes clear that Kia Carens has been crucial to the company's expansion in the Indian market. With 70,656 units sold, the MPV accounts for 11% of the business's overall sales, which totalled 651,653 units. Given that Kia Carens had garnered 7,738 reservations on the first day of availability, these amounts were anticipated for the MPV.

Kia Carens specifications and Mileage

Additionally, the MPV seems to be a fantastic choice for someone looking for a 3-row car that is simple in the budget. Depending on the variant's engine and transmission, the Kia Carens delivers ARAI-certified mileage ranging from 21.3 km/l to 16.2 km/l. It should be mentioned that the MPV offers customers a choice between three engines: a 1.4L turbo-petrol, a 1.5L NA petrol, and a 1.5L turbocharged diesel. 

Price and variants

Its reasonable price is to thank for the car's high sales figures. Currently, the petrol version of the Kia Carens MPV starts at Rs. 10.19 lakh (ex-showroom). The starting price is Rs. 12.15 lakh for the diesel version (ex-showroom).

The engine and transmission options for the Kia Carens are divided into five different versions of the MPV, namely Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury, and Luxury Plus. The Luxury Plus trim is the car's top-level specification in these trims. These versions also give customers a choice of seating arrangements.
