KL Rahul faces Jhulan Goswami in nets at National Cricket Academy, netizens react

KL Rahul, an Indian batsman faced bowling veteran Jhulan Goswami in a video that has gone viral online in the nets at the National Cricket Academy (NCA), Bengaluru. Following his sports hernia surgery in Germany, KL Rahul is now back in the practise field. In place of skipper Rohit Sharma, he was tasked with leading the Indian men’s team in the series against South Africa. However, due to an injury, he had to withdraw from the match.

Rahul responds with a drive to a full-length delivery bowled by Goswami in the video. The leading women’s ODI wicket-taker shortened her length on the ensuing delivery, and Rahul responded with a backfoot cut. Rahul is recovering at NCA while Goswami is working out there since she won’t be on the Indian women’s team for the Commonwealth Games because she retired from the T20I format.

KL Rahul is a member of the T20I squad travelling to the West Indies and was most recently seen playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL). However, his fitness will ultimately determine whether or not he is included. Jhulan Goswami, on the other hand, last participated in the ICC Women’s World Cup.
