KTM Duke 1290 showcased at the India Bike Week 2022 event, All you need to know

KTM Duke 1290: It is a well-known truth that KTM fans in India have been clamouring for an authentic KTM performance motorcycle. You are correct to remind out that the KTM 790 Duke was sold in India for a short while until it was discontinued due to the implementation of BS6 emission standards. Since that time, KTM's 390 range of motorbikes has served as the brand's flagship model. However, KTM never stops tempting the Indian audience and giving them a glimpse of its lineup of premium-performance motorcycles. KTM India showcased the most recent 1290 Super Duke R during the India Bike Week 2023, keeping with tradition.

Bike Week 2022

In March 2023, the KTM 1290 Super Duke R is scheduled to receive an upgrade. But the model that was displayed is currently available for purchase everywhere. It is the top-of-the-line sport-naked motorbike from KTM, but it has never been sold in India and is not likely to do so any time soon. Although it is substantially larger in size, the design is comparable to that of the existing 390 Duke.

KTM Duke 1290 Key Specifications

The 1,301 ccs, 75-degree V-Twin engine on the motorbike is liquid-cooled. It generates 140 Nm of maximum torque at 8,000 rpm and 177 horsepower at 9,500 rpm. A 6-speed gearbox with a PASC slipper clutch is used with the engine.

The motorcycle has lean-sensitive traction control with track mode, cornering, Supermoto ABS, ride-by-wire, riding modes, and an engine management system. A 48 mm WP Apex USD fork with 125 mm of travel and complete adjustability serves as the front suspension. A WP Apex mono-shock with 140 mm of travel and complete adjustability is installed in the back.
