Former Sri Lankan wicket-keeper batsman Kumar Sangakkara will continue to play the dual role of Director of Cricket and head coach of IPL team Rajasthan Royals (RR) while Trevor Penney will be his assistant.
Sangakkara’s compatriot Lasith Malinga will be the pace bowling coach while Zubin Bharucha will be the director of strategy, development and performance. Giles Landise will be the analysis and technique coach, Siddharth Lahiri the assistant coach and Dishant Yagnik the fielding coach.
The Sanju Samson-led team has also retained the services of John Gloster (chief physio), Rob Young (team doctor), AT Rajamani Prabhu (conditioning coach). Mon Brockman will be the team’s mental performance coach while Neil Barry will be the assistant physio.

Brockman, who has previously worked with athletes from various Olympic Games, has joined the Royals to aid in mental conditioning and help players make their decisions during pressure situations.
