Layman Turns Electric Auto into Solar Powered three-wheeler, know details here

We often come across with the stories of people coverting a petrol or diesel car into electric, but this Odisha man has converted an Electric Auto into a Solar powere vehicle. A normal Auto driver, Shrikant Patra is a person who has given result to this experiment on his E- Auto. Patra said that low battery and charging issues forced him to convert his Electric Auto into a Solar Powered vehicle.

Shrikant Patra was clueless at the moment when this thought came in his mind, But then he took the help of Youtube searching "How to convert Electric Auto into Solar Powered Auto", and he found some helpful videos. Patra is a 35 Year Old auto driver who lives in Nayagarh district, near Odisha's capital Bhubaneswar owned a diesel Auto. He told that "he is working as an Auto driver from last 15 Year, when he used to drive diesel Auto, he hardly earned Rs. 300-400 per day after cutting the refueling expenses". He added that "High refueling cost was the reason that he switched to Electric Auto, keeping the thought in mind that it will save more money". Further, he said that " he bought an Electric auto one and half year ago nd started driving it in the city, but due to low battery backup and charging inconvenience, he ws forced to limit his services and he also faced difficulties serving his duty at the day time.

Patra's 6 year old daughter suggested him to take help of Youtube when he was clueless in his mind. Patra said that "He respect her ideas which helped me to turn this Electric Auto into Solar powered one. Now I,m free of refilling it either from fuel or battery, my auto is pollution free and protects Environment too.

This Solar powered vehicle made by Shrikant Patra gives the drive range of 140 Km in a single charge . Patra said that his earning are now increased by Rs 1300-1500 per day which proved beneficial for him.
