Lucknow News: Months after gangster Atiq Ahmed’s Lawyer was given life sentence in the Umesh Pal murder case, another lawyer who represented Mukhtar Ansari has been arrested. Vijay Mishra was arrested from Gomti Nagar in connection with the murder of Umesh pal. Vijay Mishra is also facing a case of extortion. According to the cops, Mishra was an accused in the Atiq Ahmed gang who killed Umesh pal and two of his associates. Lawyer Umesh Mishra who was wanted in the Umesh Pal murder case has been arrested and a probe is on.
Video of killing gone viral in Social Media
The arrest was made by a special Task Force team of Uttar Pradesh. A video of the killing of Umesh Pal has also gone viral in the Social media which raised questions about the law and order situation in the state. The UP CM also said that he will destroy the mafia in the state.
Mishra denied all allegations against him
Police filed the chargesheet against the 8th accused in the Umesh Pal murder case. Mishra was booked by the Police on May 21st for demanding 3 crore as extortion money from a trader in Prayagraj district. Mishra denied all allegations against him and said these are tricks to malign my image.
