Madhya Pradesh Vaccination Campaign: 30 school children vaccinated with just one syringe

In Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh thirty students of a school were vaccinated using a single syringe.

Speaking on the matter, CMHO DK Goswami said, “We have got the complaint, and the probe is underway. Stringent action will be taken against those found guilty.”

Giving clarification on the incident, ANM Jitendra Rai said, “They gave just one syringe to me for administering the vaccine jabs and I was asked to do the same. That’s why I gave vaccines to 30 children from a single syringe.”

When there was an uproar in the matter, the matter came to light. After the information came to light, there was a stir in the administration.

A corona vaccination camp was organized for school children in Jain Public School located at Sagar district headquarters. In this, the Health Department had put the duty of nursing students studying in private college nursing college SVN. The vaccination started and a third year student named Jitendra Raj started the vaccination to the children. One after the other, they gave the Covid vaccine to about 30 children with a single syringe.

The incident came to light after, Dinesh Namdev, one of the parents of the vaccinated children spotted it. “My daughter is a Class 9 student and was among those vaccinated on Wednesday. I enquired from the man vaccinating the kids, as to how many syringes were being used by him to vaccinate the children. His reply was shocking, as he informed that, at least 40 children had been vaccinated with just one syringe. I immediately reported the matter to the school administration,” he said, as reported by The New Indian Express.
