Mahindra Thar: The highly anticipated, Mahindra 5-door Thar will be revealed by next month. An industry insider reported that vehicles can enter the market in February this year. Thar 3 Door has registered its name among the most successful products of the automaker. The upcoming Thar 5 door is expected to take on the legacy of its predecessor. It is reported that the upcoming Thar 5 door will measure around more than 4 meters in length and its be positioned between the Scorpio N and Mahindra’s flagship XUV 700.
The recent spy shots of the Thar 5-door dashboard reveal that the SUV is getting a brown interior theme differentiating it from the regular version which comes in black. On the dashboard, there is a visible cutout for the infotainment system which seems bigger when compared to the door variant.

Other images of the 5-door Thar reveal that the SUV is getting some visual changes which include a new grille, a new alloy wheel, and an updated set of bumpers on both sides. Thar 5 doors will also come with new LED tail lights. Additionally, the Thar five-door is also expected to get a single-pane sunroof,
Mahindra Thar 5-Door Powertrain
In terms of power, the five-door Thar will get the same 2.0-litre medallion and 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine powertrain as the Thar three-door 4WD. These powerhouses are expected to be re-tuned at some level for better power delivery.
