Mahindra XUV 500 Coupe spotted testing on Indian Roads, first insights here

Mahindra XUV 500 Coupe

Mahindra XUV 500 Coupe: Back in 2016, at the Auto expo, XUV 500 Aero was showcased by Mahindra and Mahindra which was a Coupe variant for XUV 500, the vehicle is now entered into testing phase, Recenntly XUV 500 was spotted first time on Indian Roads, it too with XUV 700 test mule.

A Video came out of this Mahindra XUV 500 test mule, althought, this video doesn’t explains much about the vehicle’s design, somw of the few thing that were visible are steel rims, probably the SUV is equipped with Flush Sitting door handles, a car has a gradually sloping roofline, we have no idea about the rear of the car as it was completely hiddden by the company.

Luxury Car Brands have their monopoly in Coupe design SUVs in India, Mahindra and Mahindra was trying to make a Coupe design SUV from 2016, but for some reason, the project was shelved for a period of time, but after the discontinuation of XUV 500 and the majestic market performance of XUV 700, a gap is emerged in the Mahindra’s car portfolio which is having no SUV between XUV 300 and XUV 700, it feels like there should be car that lies in the midst of both these SUVs.

XUV 500 Coupe will compete with Hyundai Creta, MG Astor, Kia Seltos, MG Hector and Tata Harrier , this idea of developing a Coupe like SUV was initially implemented by Mahindra in a joint venture with Ford, but the partnership came to an end because of the delay in project. This Coupe SUV is expected to launch sometime in 2024, the car will have a 1.5 litre Turbo GDI Petrol Engine and a 1.5 litre diesel engine.
