Mahindra XUV400: India’s fastest electric car to compete with Tata Nexon EV and MG ZS EV in 2023, price and delivery details here

Mahindra XUV400: The new Mahindra XUV400 is the fastest electric car made in India right now. It will compete hard against cars like the Tata Nexon EV and the MG ZS EV. The Mahindra XUV400 EV was just recently introduced in the country, and it is aimed at customers who are interested in purchasing an electric SUV that is both powerful and practical. The new XUV400 EV will be released by the brand next month, and test drives of this new SUV will begin soon. But the deliveries aren’t expected to begin until February and March 2023. The new Mahindra XUV400 EV will come in three different versions: Base, EP, and EL. The SUV is likely to start at Rs 17–18 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), and the brand will position it as a direct competitor to electric SUVs like the Tata Nexon EV and the MG ZS EV on the Indian market.

XUV400 EV can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds

The brand says that the XUV400 EV can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds. However, the top speed is limited to 150 km/h. Modern Li-ion cells are used in the 39.5 kWh battery pack that comes with the new XUV400 EV.

This battery pack runs a single motor powertrain that is said to have a maximum power output of 148 bhp and a maximum torque output of 310 Nm. On the other hand, the claimed range on a single charge is 456 km. Obviously, the SUV can be charged in a number of ways, such as with a standard 3.3kW/16A home charger, a 7.2kW/32A fast charger, or a DC fast charger.

Only takes 50 minutes to charge the SUV with a DC fast charger

If you’re wondering, it only takes 50 minutes to charge the SUV with a DC fast charger, but it will take about 13 hours to charge the battery from 0 to 80% with a home charger. Even so, the new Mahindra XUV400 EV has three ways to drive: Fun, Fast, and Fearless.

In addition, it comes with a long list of features, such as support for the Adreno X software, a single-pane sunroof, connected car technology, automatic climate control, push-button start, and many more, in addition to a number of safety features, such as six airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, and ISOFIX anchorages.
