Maruti Suzuki Price Hike: India's largest automaker, Maruti Suzuki has recently announced a price hike for all its products in India. The announced price hike will come into effect from today only. The stated reason for the price hike is the rising cost of auto components and steel used to manufacture cars. Check more details below.
How Much Price is Increased?
In a regulatory filing, the automaker mentioned that it has made an increase of 0.45 per cent in the prices of all its products. The stated figures are said to be calculated using the ex-showroom prices of Maruti Cars in New Delhi. The mentioned price increase is applicable from today.
Maruti Suzuki offers products in most of the segments in India. Its India portfolio starts from the lowest price Alto to the highest priced Invicto, both these cars are priced at Rs. 3.54 lakh and 28.42 lakh respectively.
Maruti Suzuki Growth
Talking about sales, In December 2023, Maruti Suzuki sold over 1.37 lakh vehicles in India which resulted in a dip of around 1.28 per cent when compared to the December 2022 sales. Despite registering a YoY sales in December 2023, Maruti Suzuki surpassed the annual sales of 2 Million in 2023 as it exported the highest ever 269046 units abroad.
