Maruti Suzuki Fronx: The Maruti Suzuki Fronx just made its debut at the 2023 Auto Expo, garnering attention for its coupe-like appearance and high-end features. Only the top-spec Alpha variation of the Fronx was on exhibit at the Auto Expo, thus little was known about the base-spec Sigma variant. Now that Fronx Sigma has been revealed, a quick glance at it on the official NEXA website has provided some insights about how the base version of Fronx will seem when it launches.
All about the Maruti Suzuki Fronx sigma variant
Exterior
On NEXA's website, we can see how Fronx's base variation appears in the configurator section. The rearview mirrors and door handles of the new Maruti Suzuki Fronx Sigma are blacked out, just like the Baleno's Sigma model. The Fronx Sigma, unlike the Baleno Sigma, has a blacked-out finish for the B- and C-pillars, which prevents it from being as plain as the Baleno Sigma.
According to the images, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx base model comes with steel wheels and turn indicators positioned on the fender. The steel wheels of the Fronx Sigma, which otherwise appear exposed in the website's images, will receive plastic caps at the time of launch, though. Along with front and rear silver skid plates, the Fronx Sigma also features projector headlamps and split LED turn indicators above them.
Interior
Interior features of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx base model exclude a decent infotainment system and steering-mounted audio controls, both of which are available starting with the Delta trim level. However, this version comes with automatic climate control as standard, which is unusual for cars in this category. A twin-pod instrument console with a MID in the middle, all four power windows, remote central locking, and a 12V power outlet are all included with the Fronx Sigma.

Only the 1.2-litre K12C Dualjet petrol engine and the 5-speed manual transmission will be available in the Maruti Suzuki Fronx's base model. This engine claims to have 90 PS and 113 Nm of torque in the Fronx. This engine is also offered in the mid-range Delta and Delta+ models, where it can be ordered with a 5-speed AMT as an option.
Additionally, Delta+, Zeta, and Alpha editions of the Fronx come with an optional 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. This turbocharged petrol engine, which is offered with both a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission, has 100 PS and 147 Nm of torque.
