MG Hector and Gloster Price Cut: In honour of its centenary year, MG Motor India has reduced the cost of the Comet EV and the SUVs Gloster and Hector. The automaker has also made the ZS EV more affordable for consumers by introducing a new entry-level Executive trim. Check out new prices and other details for these offerings below.

MG Hector Price Cut

Hector petrol prices are currently starting at Rs 14.94 lakh, while diesel models are priced starting at Rs 17.50 lakh. This indicates that the Hector petrol and diesel variants’ beginning prices have been cut by Rs. 6000 and Rs. 79,000, respectively. Meanwhile, two of the direct rivals of MG Hector, Harrier and XUV700 currently start at Rs 15.49 lakh and Rs 14.03 lakh respectively.

Gloster and Comet EV Price Cut

The Gloster and Comet EV are also available with significant price cuts. Gloster prices have dropped to Rs 37.49 lakh, down Rs 1.31 lakh, while Comet EV prices have dropped to Rs 6.99 lakh, down Rs 99,000. Keeping in mind, the Gloster’s sole competition in the current market, the diesel Toyota Fortuner currently starts at Rs 35.93 lakh. On the other hand, the Comet EV has no direct competitors in India as of now.

However, as of now, MG has only disclosed the starting rates of these cars and a comprehensive price list is not yet accessible. “This has been made possible due to increased localisation, long-term freight contracts, streamlined logistics, supply chain improvement, and long-term key commodities cost rationalisation,” said Gaurav Gupta, Deputy Managing Director, MG Motor India.

MG ZS EV New Executive Trim

A new entry-level Executive trim of MG ZS EV, priced at Rs 18.98 lakh has also been introduced by MG Motors. The ZS EV’s starting price is now Rs 3.9 lakh less than the Excite trim which is currently priced at Rs 22.88 lakh. The new Executive variant also gets the same machine under the hood, but the carmaker may have removed some features as a part of cost-cutting. The detailed specifications of the features offered on the ZS EV Executive version have not been released by MG yet.
