MiG-21 fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force crashed near Barmer district

MiG-21 Plane Crash: A MiG-21 aircraft of the Indian Air Force has crashed in Barmer, Rajasthan. MiG-21 has crashed in Bhimda village of Barmer.

People have seen huge flames of fire with a loud bang. There was panic in the village due to the information of MiG-21 crash. The debris of the plane also spread within a radius of half a kilometer. The administration has left for the spot. In this accident, both the pilots were martyred.

A gruesome video of the crash has surfaced after the accident. The Air Force said that facts about the accident were being collected. Barmer District Collector Lok Bandhu said, “It was an Air Force plane that crashed near Bhimda village.”

The Indian Air Force said that both the pilots of the MiG-21 trainer aircraft lost their lives in the accident. Indian Air Force deeply regrets and stands firmly with the bereaved families. A Court of Inquiry has been ordered to ascertain the cause of the accident.

Several MiG-21 crashes in the last few years

The MiG Mi-21 Bison aircraft began to be inducted by the Indian Air Force in the 1960s. The Indian Air Force has lost several MiG-21 aircraft and other aircraft in various accidents over the years. Presently the Indian Air Force has about six squadrons of MiG-21 Bison and a squadron consists of about 18 aircraft.
