Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on March 13 transferred the 34th installment under the Ladli Behna Yojana, providing financial assistance to nearly 1.25 crore women across Madhya Pradesh. The amount was transferred through a single-click Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) into the beneficiaries’ bank accounts.

Under the latest installment, the state government released ₹1,836 crore for eligible beneficiaries. The initiative is aimed at strengthening the financial independence of women and supporting household expenses for families across the state.
The installment was released during a public program in Gwalior, where the Chief Minister also performed foundation laying and inauguration of several development projects in the district. Officials said the government remains committed to expanding welfare initiatives aimed at improving the socio-economic condition of women.
The Ladli Behna Yojana was launched in 2023
The Ladli Behna Yojana was launched in 2023 to provide monthly financial support to women in the state. Initially, beneficiaries received ₹1,000 per month, which was later increased to ₹1,250. Since November last year, the monthly assistance under the scheme has been further raised to ₹1,500.
According to the state government, the scheme has become one of the largest women-focused welfare initiatives in Madhya Pradesh, benefiting millions of households and helping women meet basic needs and improve their financial security.
Beneficiaries can also check the status of their installment online through the official portal of the scheme, where details regarding payment status, eligibility and beneficiary information are available. The government has encouraged women to regularly verify their details to ensure smooth transfer of funds in upcoming installments.
